Hello, I’m Ms. Kowalke.
I have a deep passion for teaching young people. I appreciate the interactions i have with students of all ages.
My first experience working with young people is when i got a job at a preschool. I mainly taught in Pre-K, but moved about in other classrooms as well. Through this experience, I immediately found that teaching young people was a passion burning within me all along.
From there, I moved to Auburn Hills to persue a job working with the ELD team in Clarkston schools. I became a substitute teacher, and taught k-12 in districts across oakland and macomb counties while working in the preschool.
I continued to substitute teach throughout the first half of student teaching, before commiting to full time student teaching.
My Philosophy
My passion is to aid students in fulfilling their potential by scaffolding opportunities to draw out their inner gifts and uniqueness. As an educator, it is my responsibility to guide young people through their journey of growth and learning. I strive to protect the hearts and minds of our youth by consistently advocating for them as students.
